Reflections: Luke 3: 10-14
Lifestyle needs are currently rarely dragging young children in the wrong behavior, and criminal act. In very extreme cases a young teenage girl willing to sell herself and a teenage son kill him because his friend was tempted to follow consumptive lifestyle, which makes someone become selfish and uncaring to others.
Actually, what kind of lifestyle we should do in this life? John the Baptist in his conversion appeal to everyone listeners, strongly called for the lifestyle of believers who showed repentance one of them is to learn to provide for us according to our financial condition (paragraph 14), do not try to finance a lifestyle that exceeds us, because it can make we fall in crimes such as rob, blackmail, deception and others.
Consumptive than life, John actually encourage people to have a lifestyle of generous and merciful. John encourages us to always consider the lives of those who are far needier than we are and strive to meet their needs (paragraphs 10-11). We are invited here to live with the focus centered on the needs of others are also not on the needs of yourself only.
