Meditations from the Bible: John 8: 30-36
Many people are sometimes desperate to live his faith. Acts contrary to God’s will is still underway. In the heart does not want to do, but in fact many times still happen. Repeatedly promised, but kept failing. Someone even angry at myself for continuing to fall into the same hole by repeating the same sin. And eventually became a slave of sin forever.
Currently the real Word of God warns that in such circumstances, we should not despair, let alone continue to blame yourself. Here our Lord Jesus provides the solution. Stay in My Word (verse 31). The term fixed means that every time, rather than sometimes in the aspect of our lives.
The Word of God over his mouth, of our words controlled. If the Word of God over his head, certainly our thoughts are always drawn to Jesus. If the Word of control measures, we certainly do not walk into a place of sin. At that moment of truth the truth will liberate us (verse 32). Because even if we are not descendants of slaves, but the moment we still do sin, we are the servants of sin (verse 34).
We need to continually struggle against sin, do not despair. For that we need to always close to His Word, which remind and help us to keep it running in the right lane, so we are freed from the wages of sin, which is death.
God bless!
